Pediatric Neuropsychological Assessment

In my role as a Neuropsychologist, I specialize in creating personalized evaluations to highlight each child/adolescent's cognitive, academic, and social-emotional profile. Assessments aim to identify areas of cognitive strength and those in need of support, laying the groundwork for effective treatment and intervention plans. Clients typically range from ages 5 to 25 and are often referred by parents, teachers, or employers who notice challenges in academic, home, social and/or work settings. Evaluations are comprehensive, potentially including assessments of cognitive skills, academic abilities, language, memory, attention, executive functions, daily adaptive skills, and emotional and behavioral health, depending on referral questions. With a nuanced understanding of an individual’s strengths and areas for growth, detailed recommendations to support continued development are provided.

Typical referrals are made to examine the following conditions and situations:

  • Learning differences

  • Developmental delays or disabilities

  • Attention deficit disorders

  • Executive functioning challenges

  • Social, emotional and behavioral concerns

  • Possible need for testing accommodations

  • Eligibility for Gifted & Talented programs

  • Concussion, traumatic brain injury or other medical conditions

  • Differential diagnosis

Parent Consultation

I offer both single sessions and short-term consultations for parents on a range of issues. This service is ideal for families who may not require a comprehensive evaluation but need help synthesizing information from different sources, such as past evaluations, medical records, report cards, IEPs, or feedback from service providers. I can provide insights on educational or treatment plans, advise if further assessments are needed, prioritize recommendations, or offer parenting support and coaching. Over the years, I have connected with a network of professionals, including psychiatrists, therapists, pediatricians, neurologists, learning specialists, speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, tutors, and educational consultants, as well as schools. Through these relationships, I am well-positioned to make informed referrals to skilled practitioners in the community.
